THE TRUTH BEHIND SALVATION

TNDL: The truth behind salvation: body, soul and spirit.

God wants to lead your spirit to peace and rest. Will you let Him?Written by Sigurd Bratlie
The truth behind salvation: body, soul, and spirit
A human being: body, soul and spirit
Each person consists of a body, soul and spirit. That is how God created each one of us:
“And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the spirit of life; and man became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7.
Our body was formed of the dust of the ground, and it is sustained by that which grows up from the ground. With our body we are in contact with everything that has been created. In the beginning, God breathed the spirit of life into man’s nostrils. With our spirit we are in contact with God. Man didn’t become a living soul until the spirit entered his body. The soul is our life – the result of the union of body and spirit. With our soul we are in contact with people.

Separated from God
The intention was that God would lead us by our spirit; but then the fall came, and separation from God. Man began to live according to the lusts
The desires that we experience that go against God’s will. In other words, a desire for anything sinful. See James 1:14. Also called “sin in the flesh.” Although the expression “youthful lusts” is often thought of in...
in his body. (Genesis 3:6) Instead of the body being an instrument of the spirit in the service of God, the body started to lead instead. The consequence was separation from God because the spirit in man became a slave to the lusts in the flesh. The fruit of the fall is all the corruption we see in the world. The corruption is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:4)
Never-ending emptiness
Because the body took over the leadership, we are earthly by nature – carnal and not spiritual. Our lives are in the things that have been created, and we naturally worship the greatness of this world. Our soul – our senses – revolve around the visible things. The truth is that we are restless in this state, and we suffer under the emptiness of this world, for our spirit can never be content or satisfied by the things that have been created. We don’t naturally understand this because of the darkness in which we are in, and as a result we look for distractions and enjoyment that only increase our emptiness. One could say that we get a taste of hell in our soul. However, God has not left us to ourselves in this state! “Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, ‘He jealously desires the spirit He let dwell in us; but He gives even more grace.’” James 4:5. (NIV translation).
Spiritually minded
It is possible, through the light of the gospel, to be converted to God. Instead of loving our lusts, we can act according to Jesus’ words: “Take up your cross daily and deny yourself.” (Luke 9:23) By denying ourselves, our spirit is delivered from the sin in our flesh, and we enter into fellowship with God. And then, as we start to nourish ourselves with God’s Word and prayer, we receive strength to discipline our body and bring it into subjection. (1 Corinthians 9:27)
As a result, we become spiritual and have our life – our soul – in the heavenly places. We will start to get a sense for invisible things, which are eternal. We come out of that restless state of that corruptible emptiness and into incorruptible treasures of life that give our spirit rest. We get a foretaste of heaven in our soul! The perfect liberation of the soul from that corruptible emptiness is the end of our faith. (1 Peter 1:3-4, 9)
A calling to fulfill
Jesus has taught us to pray: “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10. Jesus fulfilled this prayer in the days of His flesh. He also said when He came into the world, “‘A body You have prepared for Me … Behold, I have come … to do Your will, O God.’” Hebrews 10:5-7. We, too, have a calling and task to fulfill. We have also received a body. If our body does not assume the leading role (with the result that we lower ourselves to live according to our passions and desires) but is presented as a living, holy, acceptable sacrifice to God, then we spread God’s kingdom. We receive God’s will through our spirit, and we carry it out with our body. The fruit of this co-operation is a heavenly life, a saved soul.
Death shall have no power
Jesus says: “Therefore do not worry, saying ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles [heathen] seek … But seek first the kingdom of God … and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew 6:32-33. (Luke 12:27-31) The heathens seek what the body needs. That is their main concern. The animals do the same. But we must act differently. We must keep the nourishment and well-being of our spirit in mind. We must seek God’s kingdom first! If we do this, then God will provide for our body. If we do this, we are saved from all the anxiety that plagues the world.
This deliverance of the spirit from sin in the flesh is a resurrection, and only those who partake of this salvation will have a part in the first resurrection. They are blessed and holy, for “over such the second death has no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.” Revelation 20:6. Only through this salvation can the God of peace sanctify us completely, so that our spirit, soul, and body can be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

THE MOST HIGH CALLS ALL HUMAN BEINGS TO SEEK HIS WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING, SO THAT THEY CAN GAIN PRUDENCE TO ACT WISELY! Proverbs 8.”

Proverbs 8 New International Version (NIV)
Wisdom’s Call
8 Does not wisdom call out?
Does not understanding raise her voice?
2 At the highest point along the way,
where the paths meet, she takes her stand;
3 beside the gate leading into the city,
at the entrance, she cries aloud:
4 “To you, O people, I call out;
I raise my voice to all mankind.
5 You who are simple, gain prudence;
you who are foolish, set your hearts on it.[a]
6 Listen, for I have trustworthy things to say;
I open my lips to speak what is right.
7 My mouth speaks what is true,
for my lips detest wickedness.
8 All the words of my mouth are just;
none of them is crooked or perverse.
9 To the discerning all of them are right;
they are upright to those who have found knowledge.
10 Choose my instruction instead of silver,
knowledge rather than choice gold,
11 for wisdom is more precious than rubies,
and nothing you desire can compare with her.
12 “I, wisdom, dwell together with prudence;
I possess knowledge and discretion.
13 To fear the Lord is to hate evil;
I hate pride and arrogance,
evil behavior and perverse speech.
14 Counsel and sound judgment are mine;
I have insight, I have power.
15 By me kings reign
and rulers issue decrees that are just;
16 by me princes govern,
and nobles—all who rule on earth.[b]
17 I love those who love me,
and those who seek me find me.
18 With me are riches and honor,
enduring wealth and prosperity.
19 My fruit is better than fine gold;
what I yield surpasses choice silver.
20 I walk in the way of righteousness,
along the paths of justice,
21 bestowing a rich inheritance on those who love me
and making their treasuries full.
22 “The Lord brought me forth as the first of his works,[c][d]
before his deeds of old;
23 I was formed long ages ago,
at the very beginning, when the world came to be.
24 When there were no watery depths, I was given birth,
when there were no springs overflowing with water;
25 before the mountains were settled in place,
before the hills, I was given birth,
26 before he made the world or its fields
or any of the dust of the earth.
27 I was there when he set the heavens in place,
when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,
28 when he established the clouds above
and fixed securely the fountains of the deep,
29 when he gave the sea its boundary
so the waters would not overstep his command,
and when he marked out the foundations of the earth.
30 Then I was constantly[e] at his side.
I was filled with delight day after day,
rejoicing always in his presence,
31 rejoicing in his whole world
and delighting in mankind.
32 “Now then, my children, listen to me;
blessed are those who keep my ways.
33 Listen to my instruction and be wise;
do not disregard it.
34 Blessed are those who listen to me,
watching daily at my doors,
waiting at my doorway.
35 For those who find me find life
and receive favor from the Lord.
36 But those who fail to find me harm themselves;
all who hate me love death.”

TNDL: “YESHUA IS ALIVE, HE IS NO LONGER IN THE TOMB, BECAUSE HE IS RISEN!”

Matthew 28 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus Has Risen
28 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb.
2 There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. 3 His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. 4 The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
5 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. 7 Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”
8 So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. 9 Suddenly Jesus met them. “Greetings,” he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. 10 Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me.”
The Guards’ Report
11 While the women were on their way, some of the guards went into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened. 12 When the chief priests had met with the elders and devised a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of money, 13 telling them, “You are to say, ‘His disciples came during the night and stole him away while we were asleep.’ 14 If this report gets to the governor, we will satisfy him and keep you out of trouble.” 15 So the soldiers took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been widely circulated among the Jews to this very day.
The Great Commission
16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

TNDL: "HEAR THE WORD OF GOD, MOST HIGH AND LISTEN ONLY TO YESHUA.

Read the gospel of John 14. Yeshua said, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the eternal heavenly Father, but by me. Also in chapt. 12-18, he said to keep my sayings and love the Father and the only begotten Son. Whoever loves me, keeps my commandments, and I will pray to my eternal Father and He shall send the Comforter, and he shall come and he shall teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you. He, the Holy Spirit, shall teach, lead, guide, and restrain you. This promise was fulfilled, on the day of Pentecost, see Acts 2: 28-."

TNDL: "Revelation 4-5 King James Version (KJV)

4After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.

2 And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.

3 And he that sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and there was a rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.

4 And round about the throne were four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their heads crowns of gold.

5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God.

6 And before the throne there was a sea of glass like unto crystal: and in the midst of the throne, and round about the throne, were four beasts full of eyes before and behind.

7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

8 And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

9 And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

10 The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,
11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

5 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.

2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?

3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.

4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.

5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

7 And he came and took the book out of the right hand of him that sat upon the throne.

8 And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.

9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
10 And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.

11 And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;

12 Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.

13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

14 And the four beasts said, Amen. And the four and twenty elders fell down and worshipped him that liveth for ever and ever.

WHAT ARE THE 144,000 RIGHTEOUS? How do their experience get them ready for what they will Face?"

At the end of the world, in the time of trouble, the hundred and forty four thousand will be alone in the world. The rest of the world will hate them and try to kill them. But the 144,000 will be the only ones who will be righteous. The 144,000 will live in a world that has grown cold because the world will have moved away from God. They will be so far from God that they can never come back.

"And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. Matthew 24:12
Natural affection for others already seems to be disappearing for some. But in the actual time of the end, the change will be more complete and overwhelming. Natural affection for others will be "a thing of the past". Already, there is a tendency for violence to be in the streets. This kind of unrest will increase.

But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:
For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
unloving (without natural affection), unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of (those that are) good,
traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 2 Timothy 3:1-5
If we are told to turn away from these people, it must mean they are beyond help. Thus the whole world will be lovers of pleasure but not God.

At the same time a universal religion will be forced on the people of the world. This will be brought about by the beast power of Revelation 13. But it will not be urged that the people of the world will need to get rid of their sins and to try to obey what God would have us do.
having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! 2 Timothy 3:5
This means that the world will have a form of religion but they will not have the power of God that changes lives to make them righteous. This religion will be based on the tradition of men.

He answered and said to them, "Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: 'This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.
And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.'
"For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men--the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do."
He said to them, "All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition. Mark 7:6-9
The Commandments of God will be replaced with the traditions of men. So people will be religious but they will no longer follow the words of the true God because they have rejected and laid aside the commandments of God. This is how they honor God, with their lips but their heart is far from Him. They say they are following God but they do not obey His commandments nor anything else He asks us to do.

The universal religion that will be forced on the world will make the word of God of no effect because they will choose to follow tradition rather than the word of God.
"making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do." Mark 7:13
So, what happens when people no longer choose to follow God by following His commandments?

Behold, the LORD'S hand is not shortened, That it cannot save; Nor His ear heavy, That it cannot hear.
But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear. Isaiah 59:1-2
We find that God is always ready to hear us but the wicked will have separated themselves from God because of their sins. So, God will not hear their prayers to Him.

One who turns away his ear from hearing the law, Even his prayer is an abomination. Proverbs 28:9
Our very prayer becomes an abominable to God when we turn away from the Law of God. If we start regarding iniquity in our hearts; if we start sinning, God will not hear us.

If I regard iniquity in my heart, The Lord will not hear us. Psalm 66:18-20
But, at any time, if we come to God with the idea that we are willing to let go of our sins, God is very willing to help us.

"Come now, and let us reason together," Says the LORD, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. Isaiah 1:18
It does not matter how bad (or scarlet) our sins have become, He can make our sins as white as snow and wool. So, God's eyes are always on the righteous, and those who want to become righteous, and He will listen to our prayers. But those who are determined to do evil, those who are determined to follow man's laws, without getting rid of sin; God will be turned away from them.

For the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil." 1 Peter 3:12
Yet it is in this very same time that 144,000 will draw from God in a very direct way the righteousness that they need from Christ.

Judgement and The Seal of God
Toward the end of the world, the wicked will have fully joined up with Satan. So, the Lord will have a controversy with all the nations on earth and He will judge all people:

A noise shall come to the ends of the earth; for the LORD has a controversy with the nations; He will enter into judgment with all flesh. He will give those who are wicked to the sword, says the LORD. Jeremiah 25:31 MKJV
(What does it mean when God says He will judge "all Flesh"? Does it mean that God will judge all the people in the world? In the Bible, it does not always mention the exceptions. For instance, God will not have a controversy with the righteous. However, they will be a very small minority. It is the wicked majority that God will have a controversy with, and He will enter into judgment with the wicked only.)

When God judges the earth, He will punish the wicked because of their sins. They will be killed and their bodies will cover the earth.

For behold, the LORD comes out of His place To punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity; The earth will also disclose her blood, And will no more cover her slain. Isaiah 26:21
Their bodies will be found from one end of the earth to the other. There will be no one to cry over them and no one to bury them. They will be like dung on the ground!
"And at that day the slain of the LORD shall be from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth. They shall not be lamented, or gathered, or buried; they shall become refuse on the ground. Jeremiah 25:33
So, the wicked will face punishment and death when they face God's judgement! But the 144,000 will not receive death:

saying, "Do not harm the earth, the sea, or the trees till we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads."
And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and forty-four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel were sealed: Revelation 7:3-4
In a special way they are sealed and God will hold back the trouble of the last days until all of His people, the 144,000 will be sealed.

In the book of Ezekiel we find a situation that was similar to what will happen in the last days. Israel had become full of sins since they served other gods, even in the temple of the real God on earth.

Ezekiel saw a vision where the people, at that time in Jerusalem, would face judgement from God. Only a few people would be spared. All the rest would be killed.

So, Ezekiel saw in vision that an angel called out and six other angels came near with weapons in their hands. They were there to destroy the people in the city.

And He cried in my ears with a loud voice, saying, Let the overseers of the city draw near, even each with his destroying weapon in his hand.
And behold, six men came from the way of the Upper Gate which faces north, and each had his battle-ax in his hand. And one man among them was clothed with linen, and a writer's inkhorn by his side. And they went in and stood beside the bronze altar. Ezekiel 9:1-2 MKJV & NKJV
But there was another angel there as well. This angel didn't have a weapon but he had a writer's inkhorn by his side. This angel was there to mark or to place a seal on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry because of all the sins that were being committed by the people.

. . . And He called to the man clothed with linen, who had the writer's inkhorn at his side;
and the LORD said to him, "Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it." Ezekiel 9:3-4
In the last days, the 144,000 will sigh and cry over all the abominations that are happening in the world. Especially will they cry over what is happening in the church as well. We will see more of this later.

To the others He said in my hearing, "Go after him through the city and kill; do not let your eye spare, nor have any pity.
"Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary." So they began with the elders who were before the temple. Ezekiel 9:5-6
So, the six angels having battle-axes went out and killed all the people except those who had the mark or the seal of God on their forehead. Now the very same thing is going to happen at the end of time. Only the 144,000 will be spared while all the others will be killed and later fully destroyed.

There are two very interesting points that are brought out by Ezekiel. In verse 6 above we see that the angels began slaying the elders who served in the temple. Thus, the killing begins with those who should be leaders of the righteous; But in actuality, they must be leading people the wrong way toward wickedness! So, they will be the first to be killed because of God's anger is very great toward them. The reason is clear, they were leading astray God's people who otherwise might be saved.

The other point is that God will slay the wicked and He will not have any pity toward them

So it was, that while they were killing them, I was left alone; and I fell on my face and cried out, and said, "Ah, Lord GOD! Will You destroy all the remnant of Israel in pouring out Your fury on Jerusalem?" Ezekiel 9:8 When Ezekiel saw all those who were being killed, he was alarmed: "Will there be any left in Jerusalem?"

An important aspect of the 144,000 is their love for the wicked. They will sigh and cry over them and try to win them to Christ that they may escape the destruction slated for the world. But once probation has closed, which is when there is no longer any hope of their being saved, then the wicked will be killed without pity.

Then He said to me, "The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah is exceedingly great, and the land is full of bloodshed, and the city full of perversity; for they say, 'The LORD has forsaken the land, and the LORD does not see!'
"And as for Me also, My eye will neither spare, nor will I have pity, but I will recompense their deeds on their own head." Ezekiel 9:8-10
In the time of the end the countryside and the church will be full of bloodshed and perversity, wickedness and corruption. Thus God's eye will neither spare nor have pity. Only the 144,000 will He save.

YESHUA EMMANUEL

TNDL: "WAS YESHUA EMMANUEL THE GODMAN, GOD THE SON, AND HE USHERED IN THE NEW COVENANT, ACCORDING TO JEREMIAH 31: 33- DUE TO ANCIENT ISRAEL BREAKING THEIR CONTRACT WITH THEIR GOD? MOST LAW STUDENTS KNOW THAT WHEN A BINDING CONTRACT IS BROKEN BY EITHER PARTIES, THAT CONTRACT BECOMES NULL AND VOID. SO, WAS THAT NOT THE MAIN REASON WHY THERE WAS A NEED FOR THE NEW COVENANT TO BE MADE WITH THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL AND THE HOUSE OF JUDAH, WHICH MADE IT NECESSARY FOR YESHUA, THE LAMB OF GOD, THE ISRALITES SALVATION TO COME, IS IT NOT SO? IN YESHUA ONLY WE CAN FIN SALVATION, PETER THE APOSTLE, SAID THIS ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST, ACTS 2: 28-."

PSALM 16

TNDL: Psalm 16 New International Version (NIV)
Psalm 16
A miktam[a] of David.
1 Keep me safe, my God,
for in you I take refuge.
2 I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing.”
3 I say of the holy people who are in the land,
“They are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.”
4 Those who run after other gods will suffer more and more.
I will not pour out libations of blood to such gods
or take up their names on my lips.
5 Lord, you alone are my portion and my cup;
you make my lot secure.
6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.
7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.
8 I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,
10 because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead,
nor will you let your faithful[b] one see decay.
11 You make known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
